"Together, we move from evidence to action — and from local solutions to global impact."

Idris Chikophe

Chairman, Critical Care Society of Kenya

The 13th Annual Scientific Congress of the Critical Care Society of Kenya (CCSK) brings together clinicians, researchers, educators, policymakers, innovators, and industry leaders committed to advancing critical care across resource-diverse environments.

This year’s theme, Frugal Innovation — recognizes a defining truth of healthcare in our region: excellence is not determined by abundance of resources, but by clarity of thought, scientific rigor, and creative problem-solving. In settings where constraints are real, innovation must be deliberate, evidence-based, and locally grounded — yet globally relevant.

Over three days of high-impact plenaries, interactive workshops, symposia, and focused tracks, the congress will explore:

Advanced resuscitation and organ support
The Digital ICU: data science, artificial intelligence, and clinical analytics
Trauma, transfusion, and coagulopathy
Pediatric and neonatal critical care
Ventilation and liberation strategies
Ethics, equity, and end-of-life decision-making
Workforce development, leadership, and education

Pre-conference workshops in Airway Management, Point-of-Care Ultrasound, and Advanced Mechanical Ventilation provide hands-on opportunities to strengthen clinical competence and systems thinking. CCSK 2026 is designed not merely as a scientific meeting, but as a strategic platform — one that fosters collaboration, strengthens research networks, promotes capacity building, and stimulates practical innovation for African and global critical care systems. We invite you to join us in shaping a future where critical care is:

  • Accessible
  • Data-informed
  • Ethically grounded
  • Technologically adaptive
  • And sustainably delivered

Together, we move from evidence to action — and from local solutions to global impact.
